The 2023 MTV Video Music Awards opened and closed with Taylor Swift.
Between NSYNC’s surprise reunion and the night’s most honored artist receiving the Best Pop award during the video of the year winner, Tuesday’s broadcast featured renowned artists from around the world including Shakira, Peso Pluma, Stray Kids, Rema and Anita.
Nicki Minaj hosted and performed during the show, which took place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Sean “Diddy” Combs was honored with the Global Icon Award after performing hits on stage with his children throughout his 30-year career. “She Wolf” is back and better than ever as Shakira accepts the Video Vanguard Award and gives a medley performance.
